It's important to be able to pause once in a while and enjoy exactly where we are.
My family portrait sessions are a perfect way to spend quality time with your family and document this chapter in your lives.

A little planning goes a long way...
You are investing your time into a photo shoot with me so let's talk about some things that will help us get the best photos for you.
Location
Your family portrait session will take place outdoors. I find that going outside gives us more variety in background and kids have more fun playing and running in a park or a beach. I travel all over Sydney to shoot family photos. If you have a special place in mind, awesome we can go there, otherwise I can suggest lots of beautiful options.
Styling
You have access to my client closet for mum and the kids. I have invested in beautiful pieces that are timeless and photograph beautifully.
These have been kid tested and approved :)
So that's one less thing to prep before our shoot.
Timing
My preference is to shoot close to sunset so that we get that beautiful soft, golden light. If this isn't going to work for your kids moods or energy levels, we can always discuss alternatives. For me, it's more important to shoot at a time where you are relaxed.
What are you doing with the photos after the shoot?
Is there a wall in your house that you want to fill with a gallery of frames?
Do you want to create an album so you have something to look at with your family?
Your styling will affect how the finished products look on your wall, so spend some time thinking about this.

How it works
Your outdoor family shoot is a one hour session. We shoot at either a beach or park, near or close to your home, depending on what is best for your family.
My style of shooting is fairly casual and natural. I will take a couple of shots where everyone is looking into the camera (because these shots can be impossible to get as a selfie) but for the most part I want to capture you and your family enjoying quality time together.
After your shoot, you will receive a same day preview via my Instagram stories. Your full online gallery will be ready in approximately 3 weeks after your session.
From your online gallery link, you will choose your digital package and prints. Once your print orders are placed, they will take approximately 2-6 weeks to produce.
When your prints arrive, we organise a time for you to take your prints to their forever home then you can enjoy the beautiful prints you have created and relive this special time over and over again.
The weekends are the most popular time for family photos, if you are looking to book a weekend date, the earlier you can do this, the better. While sessions can get rescheduled due to illness or wet weather, I can't guarantee any last minute requests.

What happens if it rains or someone in my family gets sick on shoot day?
We reschedule. If it looks like a chance of rain I will get in touch in the morning of our shoot to discuss our options. I want you and your family to enjoy the shoot and not have to worry about the weather. If someone falls ill, they need to rest and get better, the shoot can happen when they are 100%.

What do we wear?

What if my husband isn’t feeling it or my kids are cranky?
I am here to capture your family as they are, this is your story. I find that as the session moves along and everyone gets a little more comfortable, the mood shifts to a more happy state.

How long do we wait for our photos and print products?
You will receive a preview of your session on the day of your shoot. The rest of your gallery will be ready in approximately 3 weeks (this may be longer during the peak periods of Mothers Day and Christmas).
Your wait time for your prints varies depending on what you have ordered. Art mounted prints are approx 2-3 weeks, wall art are approx 4-6 weeks, albums are approx 6-8 weeks. These wait times will also be greater during the peak periods of Christmas and Mothers Day.
